friends?

just a random thought that ran across my mind that md me ended up with this post :]

so basically, we all will be judged by others by our friends.

kay, sooo youre friends with so and so and theyre 'aalim, soleh/solehah, nvr miss the 5 daily prayers, fast, good akhlaq, recite the Quran, ah kay, youre a nice person.

ohhh youre friends with so and so, and they smoke, drink, go clubbing, mingle around with girls/boys that arent their mhrm, ahhhhhhhhh kay, youre nothing but the same like them. youre a pest, a nuinsance -_-'

honestly, friends are always there, will always be there, be it those that are good or just so-so or just not that good. yes i do agree that they do play an important part in our lives and as teenagers, we're easily influenced. ahhh adolescents. typical of us. hehehehe.

ultimately, its the way you hold onto your principles. if you know smth is wrong by syariah, then no matter how many times someone persuade/encourage you to do smth that is wrong, you just wont be able to do so. its logic. and if you know the consequences of such wrong acts (think in a way of GOOD DEEDS & SINS, HEAVEN or HELL, not just the consquences on Earth), again, you wont be able to do so.

so do you want to be influenced in a (+)ve way or (-)ve way? its really up to your pick.

at the end of the day, i can be friends with almost anyone, i really can click with almost anyone, but what is wrong, will still stay wrong, and wtv is right, is right. what is wrong, try to abstain/restrain from it as far as i can, and try to correct myself with what is right.

but that only implies if we know how to differentiate from the rights & wrongs.

just as much as we hate being judged, we cn't blame anyone for judging us by our friends tho :)

however, this is a statement i can't deny, if you want to be good, do hv good friends that will lead you in the path of Allah, to Paradise. and if you want to chnge yourself to be a better person, leave those friends that had let you astray for awhile, no matter how long youve been friends, no matter how much you pple hd gone thru tgther. just leave them for awhile. go back to them once youre rdy, ready in a sense, to bring them back to the path of Allah :)

may we all always be under His guidance, in sya Allah.
i really wish for a better change in myself. and...friends.
